A judge who has been the subject of national media attention after a video of him acting in an abusive manner towards a court IT worker went viral on the internet has violated two different state laws concerning campaign finance and personal financial disclosures.
According to a review of information on file with the Texas Ethics Commission, Judge Nathan Milliron has failed to file semiannual campaign finance reports due on July 15, 2025, and January 15, 2026. Additionally, Milliron failed to file a personal financial statement that was due on April 30, 2025.
Milliron is Judge of the 215th District Court, which hears civil cases in Harris County.
The Texas Ethics Commission’s website shows that Milliron owes a total of $1,500 in outstanding penalties for the required reports that he failed to file. These penalties include $1,000 for the campaign finance reports and $500 for the personal financial statement.
In addition to monetary penalties assessed by the Texas Ethics Commission, violations of these disclosure laws can also be enforced criminally if the violations were committed knowingly.
Under Section 254.041 of the Texas Election Code, a person who is required to file a campaign finance disclosure report can be charged with a Class C misdemeanor if the person knowingly fails to file the report on time or fails to include information in the report that is required by law to be included.
Under Section 572.034 of the Texas Government Code, a state officer – including a State District Judge – who knowingly and willfully fails to file a personal financial statement can be charged with a Class B misdemeanor.
Although elected as a Republican in the 2024 General Election, Milliron has complimented Democrats and taken campaign contributions from a lawyer whose law firm funded attacks against “MAGA Republicans.”
In a December 24, 2024 Facebook post, Milliron wrote, “I’m going to make exactly one “political” post before I take my oath of office. Some of the kindest people I have encountered on this journey are the D’s. We aren’t that far apart.”

On November 8, 2024 – three days after his election victory – Milliron received a $2,000 campaign contribution from Houston personal injury trial lawyer Brant Stogner, a Partner at the Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Agosto, Aziz & Stogner law firm.
As previously reported by The Texas Voice, the Abraham Watkins law firm teamed with George Soros and other personal injury trial lawyers to fund a multimillion-dollar effort to “Stop MAGA Republicans” during the 2024 General Election.
Stogner’s firm, which boasts about its work representing illegal aliens in civil lawsuits, was part of a well-funded campaign by liberal donors to influence Republican Primary elections this year.
