- Muhammad Aziz, a Democrat personal injury trial lawyer from Houston, donated $300,000 to a new political action committee working to influence Republican Primaries
- Aziz’s past political contributions include support of controversial Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar
- Despite funding the “Justice for Texas Victims” PAC, a lawsuit filed by a former employee alleges that Aziz engaged in abusive workplace conduct
A Democrat personal injury trial lawyer who has been a donor to controversial Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar is the largest donor to a newly formed Political Action Committee that is working to influence Republican Primaries in Texas.
Muhammad Aziz, a Partner with the Houston law firm Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Agosto, Aziz & Stogner, donated $300,000 to the Justice for Texas Victims PAC on September 23, 2025. Aziz’s donation accounted for more than half of the funds raised by the group last year.
Justice for Texas Victims, which was created on June 30, 2025, reported spending $295,209.15 during the second half of 2025. The bulk of those funds were used to influence Republican Primaries. In addition to Aziz, other donors to Justice for Texas Victims include attorneys and law firms that have traditionally donated to Democrats.
Aziz, whose biography on his law firm’s website states that he received the Excellence in the Legal Profession Award from the Muslim Bar Association of Houston in 2022, has been a longtime financier of Democratic politicians.
During the 2024 election cycle, Aziz was a donor to the Harris County Democratic Party, the Democratic National Committee, Democrat U.S Senate candidate Colin Allred, and the Joe Biden campaign (which morphed into the Kamala Harris campaign).
Aziz’s donations during the 2022 election cycle included a $2,900 donation to Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar on June 29, 2022. Omar has garnered national headlines for her antisemitic rhetoric, outspoken criticism of Israel, and far-left political views.
Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Agosto, Aziz & Stogner, Aziz’s law firm, has also been a leading funder of efforts to support Democrats and defeat Republicans. During the 2024 election cycle, the firm donated $300,000 to the First Tuesday PAC. Funded by George Soros and other personal injury trial lawyers, First Tuesday bankrolled an ad blitz urging voters to “Stop MAGA Republicans” and “Vote for Every Democrat.”
The firm’s political spending for the 2026 election cycle also demonstrates a strong commitment to helping Democrats beat Republicans. It has already donated another $300,000 to First Tuesday for the 2026 elections, as well as $25,000 to the Lone Star Project – an organization that states, “Beating Republicans is our bottom line.”
The Texas Voice has previously reported that Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Agosto, Aziz & Stogner actively advertises its work representing illegal aliens in personal injury lawsuits.
“Regardless of your immigration status—whether you are a citizen, legal immigrant, or undocumented individual—you have the right to seek justice if you’ve been injured due to someone else’s negligence. Call us at [phone number] for a free consultation. Everyone deserves equal access to justice,” reads one page of the Abraham Watkins law firm website.
Another section of the firm’s website states, “By seeking legal counsel from experienced personal injury attorneys, such as those at Abraham Watkins, undocumented immigrants can overcome challenges in obtaining compensation and protecting their rights throughout the process. Remember, no one should be denied justice or fair compensation due to their immigration status.”
Aziz has also been a benefactor of DEI initiatives within the legal community, with the Houston Bar Association lauding him as a “$5,000 Guardian” for his financial support of its “Implicit Bias Program.”
Despite being the largest donor to the “Justice for Texas Victims” PAC, Aziz has been accused of victimizing his employees.
In a lawsuit filed in Federal court last year, an attorney who worked under Aziz sued Aziz’s law firm, alleging that she was illegally terminated due to medical issues she was experiencing and her need to take protected medical leave.
The lawsuit also alleges that Aziz engaged in a pattern of abusive conduct towards the Plaintiff and other employees.
“Despite Mo Aziz’s public persona, he was known within the walls of Abraham Watkins to talk down to and be condescending towards the firm’s employees, including [Plaintiff], and firm contractors. Mo Aziz has been known to intimidate, scream, yell, and curse at his subordinates, including [Plaintiff]. For example, on one occasion, [Plaintiff] asked about her bonus percentage on a high-profile case, and Mo Aziz yelled at Wike and said, “It’s my [f***ing] money, and if you don’t like it, there’s the door,” reads one section of the lawsuit.
The lawsuit is currently pending.
