President Donald J. Trump unveiled his latest batch of endorsements on Truth Social on Thursday, weighing in on several races, including three in Texas. The Texans endorsed by Trump in his latest round of endorsements are Congressman Tony Gonzales and Congressional candidates Eric Flores and Chris Gober.
Gonzales, who represents Congressional District 23, faces three opponents in the Republican Primary, including social media content creator Brandon Herrera and former Congressman Francisco “Quico” Canseco. Gonzales defeated Herrera in the 2024 Primary, which was decided in a runoff.

In Congressional District 34, Trump endorsed attorney and Army veteran Eric Flores. This district, which stretches from Corpus Christi to Brownsville, is currently represented by Democrat Congressman Vicente Gonzalez.
The Republican Primary field features seven other candidates, including former Congresswoman Mayra Flores, who lost to Gonzalez in the 2022 and 2024 General Elections. As previously reported by The Texas Voice, Mayra Flores has been at the center of several controversies in her current campaign and has surrounded her campaign with individuals with troubled backgrounds, including an admitted pimp.

In the race to succeed Republican Congressman Michael McCaul in Congressional District 10, Trump endorsed Chris Gober. A prominent political law attorney, Gober has represented numerous Republican politicians and conservative organizations throughout his career, including Elon Musk’s America PAC.
Gober faces nine opponents in the Republican Primary, including State Republican Executive Committee member Jeremy Story, Bee Cave Mayor Kara King, and businessman and perennial candidate Ben Bius.
Gonzalez, Flores, and Gober all welcomed President Trump’s endorsement.

In a Facebook post touting his Trump endorsement, Eric Flores said, “President Donald J. Trump just endorsed our campaign, and we’re fired up and ready to win! South Texas is done with weak leadership, open borders, and politicians who don’t deliver. This race is about putting America First, securing our border, defending our energy jobs, and fighting for our values without apology! Let’s take this momentum, unify, and WIN TX-34. The fight is on!”
Gober highlighted his successes helping conservatives in the legal arena in his comments about President Trump’s endorsement of his campaign.

I have spent my career delivering wins for our conservative movement and President Trump’s America First Agenda. I will not let Democrats in Congress stand in the way of keeping our border secure, protecting our God-given constitutional freedoms, or making life more affordable for Texans.
